Technical Clarity
Understand the condition, project requirement, assumptions, drawings, product specifications and specialist
inputs before accepting a solution.
Value Integrity
Consider cost alongside functional benefit, longevity, maintenance burden, execution practicality, risk and the owner’s
real objectives.
Decision Integrity
Question assumptions, disclose relevant interests, compare alternatives and make recommendations that can be explained
and defended.
What I Do Not Promise
No elimination of all risk, no guaranteed savings, no artificial assurance of “absolute certainty” and no unnecessary scope expansion. Where structural assessment, statutory design approval, MEPF certification or specialized testing is required, suitably qualified and appointed professionals must carry those responsibilities.
When This Perspective Is Useful
Before a substantial development investment; when alternative materials or building systems are being compared;
when a recurring leakage or repair problem persists; when a major renovation or rehabilitation is being considered; or when an owner needs an additional experienced perspective on an important project decision.
