A FEW WORDS - ABOUT ME

VIVEK DESAI

Experience Changes How You See a Project.

I am a civil engineer and entrepreneur whose work has evolved from construction execution to real estate development, ownership, specialist building products and technical collaboration. Today, that wider perspective informs my owner-side project-value advisory work.

A Journey Built Step by Step

  • 1981 — Family foundation: Sachi Construction Company was established by my father, Vikram C. Desai, initially undertaking government and private civil construction work.

  • 1999–2000 — Engineering and construction: After completing my civil engineering education and postgraduate study in the United States, I joined Sachi in 2000. Over the following years, I assumed the responsibility of managing its work and developing its capabilities.
  • 2003 — VPVS Developers: I entered real estate development and the practical responsibilities of owning, leasing, maintaining and managing property.
  • 2009 — Alternative Industrial Products: I established a business centred on construction chemicals and specialized building products, reinforcing the importance of material suitability and correct application.
  • 2023 — BuildX Consultants: Waterproofing consultancy, MEPF specialist coordination and construction supervision broadened the consulting dimension of my work.
  • 2026 — Project Value Optimizer: A personal advisory identity developed from the combined experience of execution, investment, ownership and technical decision-making.

What This Experience Has Taught Me

A technically correct design may still be difficult to build. A lower price may create higher maintenance costs. A building that is still useful may need thoughtful rehabilitation rather than replacement. No single professional perspective reveals the full consequence of every choice.

My Approach

Understand the real requirement. Examine credible alternatives. Respect evidence and professional expertise. Be honest about uncertainty. Keep commercial interests transparent. Recommend only what can be justified.

Looking Ahead

I want to build businesses that remain useful, trusted and adaptable through the next two decades. The ambition is not project volume or an impressive headline; it is work that can be carried out responsibly and knowledge worth passing forward.
